About Me

My name is Ben Heck, a 25-year old sports media member who studied at Salisbury University (in Salisbury, MD). I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Communications/Media Production in December 2015.

About nine months after graduation, while working 40 hours a week on a golf course near my hometown of Centreville, MD, I landed my first full-time position within the sports media world.

I accepted a job offer to take over as the sports editor for a couple of small-town newspapers in southern Delaware. Since September of 2016, I have been covering local and high school sports in Sussex County, Delaware. I now reside in Lewes, Delaware.

When I'm not attending local sports and conducting interview/writing stories for my job, I thoroughly enjoy watching and discussing professional sports. And watching movies/sitcoms, and occasionally reading a book or two.

Experience:
-Currently serving as the sports editor for the Sussex Post and Milford Chronicle, weekly newspapers in the Sussex County and Kent County areas of Delaware.
-I contributed regular articles for armchairgm.com while in high school, publishing over 300 blogs/stories on whichever professional or college sporting event I felt compelled to discuss.
-I launched All-Out Blitz in April of 2010, just before high school graduation (Queen Anne's County HS in Centreville, MD). A few years later, in June of 2013, All-Out Blitz moved to its own domain name - bensalloutblitz.com. It's been regularly updated ever since then. With the site, I have covered numerous sporting events as a member of the working media over the last seven-plus years.
-Covered the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles' Double-A affiliate) for a summer, attending games and interviewing players such as Manny Machado, Caleb Joseph, Jonathan Schoop, among others.
